Hey y'all!
I haven't posted a life update on here in the last few months so WHAT BETTER TIME! I have been social distancing and quarantining myself since March 13, 2020 which means this is my month anniversary indoors! So cute.
If you are just at the beginning phases of this still (somehow???) just know--
Life does not get easier and you do not just "get used to it". Please don't in fact. Let us never forget how awful this is and continue to wash our hands. AMEN. Can't wait to hug you.
Honestly though, my life is very good and I am grateful. I am healthy, as well as my friends and family. My partner, Benjamin, is one of the front lines workers at a local hospital (ICU nurse turned into COVID wing nurse). I have been getting a backstage tour of all these horrors. I am endlessly grateful for his work and the heart he has. Ben- Liz would be so proud of you.
PERFORMING & WORK
I am on hold in most aspects of my life professionally. Obviously just like every other creative I am spending my time equal parts creating and then bitching about not being creative and feeling unsatisfied with the works I have created. It is hard. No one knows the right way to navigate but I can tell you that feeding yourself all that "PRODUCTIVITY IS A COMPETITION AND YOU ARE LOSING" type shit on your IG feed isn't helping.
I was previously working on "Young Frankenstein" at Short North Stage here in Columbus, OH. However, due to COVID-19, we had to put a pause on the production with high hopes of returning later this summer! This theatre has become my home the last 6 months and I am forever grateful for the staff and the donors that are helping to make this time feel a little less scary.

My future projects that I have had lined up for the rest of 2020 are also all on pause currently. Hopefully we have good news at the end of the month but until then- we wait.
NEW ENDEAVOR UPDATE!
We've begun a VLOG! Yes- you heard that right. The words I have been saying since Youtube was invented. Madelyn Claire Lego has entered the chat room, friends and foes. I am coming for your subscribers and I have no idea what I am doing.
But truly, Benjamin and I have decided to push ourselves out of the nest and just let it fly. If you are interested in seeing our first, debut episode you can find it HERE
We are working on new content for the channel. Videos will be released weekly for now but maybe you'll get some bonus stuff in between. Smash that subscribe button cuties.
Well...
So that is about all I have to share in this moment... I am always over here writing script/sketch ideas, developing stand-up material for my dog, making weird "art" and binge watching teen dramas. I am going to try and be better about posting on this blog-- I plan to share some of my short stories/journal type writing with you all soon so stay tuned for that as well.
